For this sophisticated ensuite, we used 1000 x 300mm ceramic wall tiles with a slightly textured suede effect in a creamy hessian colour, which offset the mosaic features beautifully. The 600 x 400 floor tiles are a similar colour but made of porcelain.

Walk-in shower with mosaic features and subtle lighting

The walk-in wet room tray is tiled in a glass and stone mosaic combination, which continues up the wall to create a central feature in the shower area. The shower control is positioned at the entrance to the shower but could have been positioned elsewhere if required. We set a small cubby hole into the stud work of the shower wall for toiletries. An embedded motion-responsive light is synchronised with the lower sink lighting, both of which are activated via the ceiling PIR. A good-sized towel rail is positioned within convenient reaching-distance to the shower exit.

Storage with additional lighting and heated doors

A curved vanity double-drawer unit for the sink has a service box set below it to incorporate additional lighting, which can be controlled by a switch or the ceiling PIR. Above it is an illuminated and mirrored storage cabinet, complete with shaver point and heated doors to keep them mist-free. An additional cupboard offers extra storage. We attached new doors to this, which are slightly raised from the floor, to keep them safely away from any shower splashes.
